Welcome to our site

Alan Duncan and Rutland & Melton Conservatives welcome you to our website

Thank you for visiting our site. We hope you will find it both informative and useful! Here you can find the latest news, information about us, what we are doing and what we believe in,  information about Alan Duncan, and your local Conservatives.

We are working all year round for you, the residents of Rutland & Melton, regardless of how you vote.

Thank you to all the 28,228 people in the constituency who voted for me, and to the Returning Officer for running a smooth count.

I am pleased to be returned as the Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton and to have increased my majority to exactly 14,000. The election was well fought on all sides and it is encouraging that we recorded one of the highest turnouts in the country, at 71.72%, including many first-time voters.

It is humbling to be elected for a fifth time to represent the people of Rutland and Melton, and I will continue to work hard for everyone in the constituency during these uncertain times.

The Prime Minister appionted Alan the Minister of State for International Development.

Conservatives care passionately about the issues which matter most

Now is a good time to join the Conservative Party.  We are close to completing the most far reaching policy in years, having listened to the public, subject experts and voluntary groups. This will mean the policies we soon put forward will be relevant to our nation in the 21st Century, having been shaped by those who matter most.

In the Rutland & Melton constituency, local Conservatives are in touch with people's views and concerns.  We are listening to the people of Rutland & Melton; we are able to focus on the important issues affecting people locally. Conservatives are committed to providing effective public services for the people within the Rutland & Melton constituency. We will endeavour to deliver on the issues that matter most to you. Through your support as a member, you will help us to achieve our objectives.
