Alan at Westminster

Any MP will undertake a series of responsibilities in Parliament. All try to defend the interests of their constituents using debates, parliamentary questions and letters to ministers. Some will serve on select committees, others on a standing committee which studies the details of a Bill. Those who are on the front bench (ministers or shadow ministers) assume extensive additional duties.

As a member of the frontbench team of Conservative Ministers, Alan has been made Minister of State for International Development.
